Kazakh industrial output rises 2.5% in January-May, manufacturing drives growth

ASTANA. June 17 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Kazakhstan's industrial output grew 2.5% year-on-year in the first five months of 2026 to 27.94 trillion tenge, as a strong expansion in manufacturing helped offset a continued decline in the oil and gas sector, the Bureau of National Statistics said Wednesday.
